Pro Energy Home Loan
According to RTE News, Electric Ireland has increased its residential electricity and gas prices by 4% from the 1st of April. Not only are electricity bills rising, so are temperatures! Climate change is now a serious topic across Ireland, with rising temperatures, frequent storms and increased rainfall.
The major question is how do I reduce my electricity bills, save money and help the environment?
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) supply grants to help homeowners, business owners and communities to reduce their energy costs and greenhouse emissions . According to the Irish Examiner Home heating typically accounts for about two thirds of annual household energy bills, with most of the costs occurring during the winter months.
The most recent scheme in conjunction with the SEAI is the Pro Energy Home loan, This is a one stop shop home improvement funding scheme provided by Capital Credit Union. Grant funding of 35% towards the cost of works and a free home survey is available. The works carried out will improve the energy efficiency of your home, reduce the cost of electricity and may increase the value of your home.
