These services are now live, giving you faster transfers, 24/7 availability, and enhanced protection against fraud and misdirected payments.
SEPA Instant: Fast, Easy Payments
SEPA Instant means you can send and receive euro payments in seconds—literally under 10 seconds—any time of day or night, including weekends and holidays. No more waiting for business hours or next-day processing.

- Real-time euro payments between participating European banks
- Available 24/7, 365 days a year
- Use your regular online or mobile banking—no extra downloads needed
- Instant confirmation that your payment has been delivered
- Euro-only transfers within the SEPA zone
- The maximum transfer amount may apply, set by Capital Credit Union
Verification of Payee: Extra Peace of Mind
Alongside instant payments, we’ve introduced Verification of Payee (VoP) to make your transactions safer. When setting up a payment, VoP checks that the recipient’s account name matches the account number before you send money—helping you avoid errors and protect against fraud.
How VoP Works:
- Enter recipient details and the system instantly verifies them
- Get one of three results: Match, Close Match, or No Match
- Warnings prompt you to double-check before sending funds
- Adds an extra safeguard to every payment you make
Keep Your Payee List Up to Date
To ensure fully secure and efficient payments, we recommend reviewing your existing saved payees. Remove any that are no longer needed, and confirm that active payee details are correct before making future transfers.
