Today, on International Credit Union Day, we were honoured to welcome some very special guests to our Dundrum branch: Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) President, Brendan Jenkins, and CEO, David Malone.
As part of their ongoing efforts to visit credit unions across the country, their choice to spend time with us on a day dedicated to celebrating our global movement was particularly poignant. This year’s theme, “Cooperation For A Prosperous World,” was truly brought to life as we connected with the leadership of our national body.
During their visit, Brendan and David took the time to meet and chat with our frontline staff in the Dundrum branch. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to hear firsthand from the team who serve our members every day, and for our staff to share their experiences and insights.
Following their time on the branch floor, a productive and insightful discussion was held with our senior management team. The conversation focused on the current state of the credit union movement on the ground across our common bond, exploring both the opportunities and challenges we face. These collaborative discussions are vital for ensuring that the movement remains strong, relevant, and focused on the needs of its members.
We extend our sincere thanks to Brendan Jenkins and David Malone for taking the time to visit us. Their engagement reinforces the spirit of cooperation that defines the credit union ethos.
At Capital Credit Union, we are proud to be part of this vibrant, member-focused movement. Today’s visit was a wonderful reminder of the collective strength we have when we work together for the prosperity of our communities.
