We are delighted to announce that Capital Credit Union has provided €1,900 in support of the Down Syndrome Centre in Dublin, helping to fund the production of 100 specially designed bins for the collection of bottles and cans. These bins will be crucial to the national Deposit Return Scheme, enabling people to donate their bottles and cans and contribute to a meaningful cause.
Some of these bins will be placed in our eight Capital Credit Union branches, and we encourage both members and non-members to participate. By donating bottles and cans, people will be giving back their deposit scheme funds, directly helping to raise vital funds for the Down Syndrome Centre.
Fiona Malone, Corporate Partnerships and Major Donor Manager for the Down Syndrome Centre, expressed her gratitude:
“The generous support from Capital Credit Union has been pivotal in making this initiative a reality. Thanks to their members, we now have 100 bins to encourage bottles and cans donations across Dublin. This initiative promotes recycling and raises essential funds for the Down Syndrome Association. We are incredibly grateful to Capital Credit Union for their partnership in this important effort.”
Capital Credit Union is committed to supporting local communities and charities while promoting sustainability to help the environment where possible. We are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to seeing our members, and the wider community contribute to both a cleaner environment and a great cause.
