How To Reactivate/Update Your Account Details

If you wish to reactivate or update your account, you must provide up to date documentation i.e your proof of I.D and your proof of current address. You can provide these details by choosing any of the following options:

Complete the Member Update Form below and upload your current documents via our secure portal ID-Pal

Get in touch with our Members Services Team via email: members@capitalcu.ie

Call our Member Services team on 01 299 0400 and select option 6

*Correspondence must be dated within 6 months at the date of presenting it within a branch or upload using ID-Pal. Unfortunately, we cannot accept the PSC (Public Service Card) as proof of Identification.

Updating Dormant Account Notice

To comply with the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing) Act, 2010, Capital Credit Union is required to establish the identity and verify the permanent residential address of all its members. This information must be correct at all times.

We frequently conduct  reviews of our accounts and you may have been contacted recently in relation to your account being designated as a Dormant Account because you have not transacted on it for a period in excess of 3 years.

Acceptable Proofs of Identity

  • Current Valid Passport
  • Current Valid Driving Licence (EU or UK)
  • Current Valid Passport Card
  • Current EU National Identity Card

Acceptable Proofs of Address:

  • Utility Bill (e.g. telephone, gas or electricity)
  • Revenue Correspondence
  • Bank Account Statement
  • Credit Card Statement
  • Original Insurance Documents (health, household or motor)
  • Social Protection Correspondence
  • Correspondence from a Government Department
  • Valid Driving Licence Dated Within Last 6 Months (if not already used as Proof of Identity)
