“Credit union: A new payee Peter Brady IE********26818 AIBKIE2DXXX was created online. Please contact us on (01) 578 5614 if you did not create this payee.”
Please note: This is a scam designed to trick you into calling a fraudster who will attempt to obtain your online banking credentials, PIN, or One-Time Passcodes (OTPs).

Specific Payee Details: It uses a name like “Peter Brady” to trigger immediate concern.

Unauthorised Numbers: The number (01) 578 5614 is not an official Capital Credit Union phone number.

Generic Sender ID: The message often comes from “Credit Union” rather than “Capital CU”.
